A little glam. A lot of skatepark.
The Chaya Kismet Barbiepatin Gold is a complete park skate designed in collaboration with professional skater Barbara “Barbie” Luciana. The metallic gold mid-cut boot looks playful and luxe, but the setup underneath is built for ramps, bowls, carving, stalls, and slides.
The supportive boot combines canvas and real leather with a built-in textile liner, EVA insole, and generous padding through the tongue and ankle. It’s designed to give you the lateral support you need for park skating while still allowing plenty of forward movement.
Underneath is Chaya’s Shari composite plate with 20° cast-aluminum trucks and an included Karma grind block, so you can start exploring park skills without immediately rebuilding your skates.
The Gold Kismet comes with 56mm × 32mm / 101A Barbiepatin wheels. These small, hard wheels are made for speed, agility, and smooth skatepark surfaces rather than rough outdoor cruising. Wicked ABEC-7 bearings and an adjustable Chaya Controller toe stop complete the setup.
Why We Love It
The Kismet Gold is for the skater who knows they want to play at the park.
Instead of starting with a recreational skate and then adding a grind block, changing wheels, and upgrading components, you get a genuine park-oriented setup right out of the box. And the metallic gold boot gives it way more personality than your average technical skate.
Best for: Skateparks • Ramps • Bowls • Carving • Stalls • Slides • Beginner park skaters • Intermediate skaters • Smooth concrete

Jen’s Take
If the skatepark is calling your name, this is the kind of setup I’d rather see you start with.
You already have the grind block, hard park wheels, supportive boot, and park-oriented plate underneath you. You can actually focus on learning instead of immediately figuring out which parts of your recreational skates need to be replaced. And obviously—the gold is badass.
Sizing
Chaya Kismet Barbiepatin Gold skates use EU sizing. We strongly recommend measuring your feet rather than relying only on your everyday shoe size.
| EU Size | Foot Length | Approx. US Women’s | Approx. US Men’s |
|---|---|---|---|
| 36 | 230 mm | 6 | 5 |
| 37 | 236 mm | 6.5 | 5.5 |
| 38 | 243 mm | 7 | 6 |
| 39 | 250 mm | 8 | 7 |
| 40 | 257 mm | 8.5 | 7.5 |
| 41 | 263 mm | 9 | 8 |
| 42 | 270 mm | 10 | 9 |
For a snug skate fit, Chaya recommends allowing approximately 3–4 mm beyond your actual foot measurement; for a more relaxed fit, approximately 5–7 mm.

FAQs
Are Chaya Kismet Gold skates good for beginners?
Yes, especially for beginners who specifically want to learn park skating. They come with park-oriented components already installed, including a grind block and hard park wheels.
Are these outdoor roller skates?
They’re designed primarily for skatepark and smooth concrete use. The 101A wheels are much harder than traditional soft outdoor cruising wheels.
Can I use them for regular outdoor skating?
Yes, but the 101A wheels will feel very firm on rough sidewalks and pavement. For recreational outdoor cruising, swapping to softer outdoor wheels will give you a much smoother ride.
Do Chaya Kismet Gold skates come with a grind block?
Yes. They come equipped with a Chaya Karma grind block.
Are the toe stops adjustable?
Yes. The Gold Kismet uses an adjustable Chaya Controller toe stop.
Are Chaya Kismet Gold skates vegan?
No. This version uses both canvas and real leather in the upper.
What’s the difference between the Gold and Pink Kismet?
The Gold version comes with smaller, significantly harder 56mm / 101A park wheels, making it especially suited to smooth concrete and skatepark skating.
